Christmas season
Both words can include the weeks before Christmas. Adventszeit, however, specifically refers to the four-week period of preparation leading up to Christmas, whereas Weihnachtszeit is usually broader and may also include the holidays afterward. Use Adventszeit for the period before Christmas and Weihnachtszeit for the entire period around the holiday.
