'Doping' is a word from English and is used in German with the same meaning. The related verb 'dopen' (to dope) also exists in German.
Der Athlet bestreitet, jemals gedopt zu haben.
The athlete denies ever having doped.
As an abstract term, 'Doping' is very often used without an article, especially after prepositions like 'wegen' (because of) or in fixed expressions.
Der Sportler steht unter Dopingverdacht.
The athlete is under suspicion of doping.
In a sports context, 'Doping' is often used in fixed phrases, for example 'des Dopings überführt werden' (to be found guilty of doping), 'eine Sperre wegen Dopings erhalten' (to receive a ban for doping), or 'der Kampf gegen Doping' (the fight against doping).
Die Welt-Anti-Doping-Agentur verschärft den Kampf gegen Doping.
The World Anti-Doping Agency is intensifying the fight against doping.
Outside of sports, 'Doping' is used metaphorically for artificial performance enhancement. For example, people speak of 'Gehirn-Doping' (brain doping/nootropics) or 'Doping für die Wirtschaft' (doping for the economy/subsidies).
Manche Studenten nutzen Koffeintabletten als eine Art Doping vor Prüfungen.
Some students use caffeine tablets as a kind of doping before exams.
manipulation
'die Manipulation' and 'das Doping' can both describe something unfair or artificial that is meant to change a result. But 'Manipulation' is much more general: people, information, or processes are deliberately influenced, often secretly. 'Doping' is especially used in sports, when someone takes banned substances in order to perform better. Figuratively, 'Doping' can also be used for artificial performance enhancement in other areas. When the focus is on secret influence, 'Manipulation' is more precise. When the focus is on performance through prohibited means, 'Doping' is more natural.

Die Manipulation der Umfrage hat viele Menschen wütend gemacht.
