'der Sprint' and 'der Endspurt' sound similar and both have to do with high speed or intensive work. A 'Sprint' is a short, very fast run or a short, intense work phase. It can happen at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end. An 'Endspurt' is always the final intensive phase shortly before the goal or completion. The words can be confused because both can be short and demanding. The memory aid is: 'Sprint' means fast and short; 'Endspurt' means fast and short at the end.
