existent vs tatsächlich

indeed / actual

'tatsächlich' and 'existent' both have to do with reality. 'tatsächlich' is used very generally when you want to say that something is really the case or corresponds to the facts. 'existent' means that something is present or really exists. It sounds much more formal and is more likely to be used in factual texts. In everyday language, people usually say 'es gibt' (there is / there are) or 'tatsächlich vorhanden' (actually present). 'existent' fits especially well when talking about things, problems, or possibilities whose presence is being checked.
