'Fachwerk' means the construction method or the timber frame with the filled-in spaces between the beams. 'Fachwerkhaus' means the whole building that is built in this style. So you can say: a Fachwerkhaus has Fachwerk. The words are easy to confuse because with old houses, you often see both at the same time. If you are talking about the structure, 'Fachwerk' fits; if you are talking about the building, 'Fachwerkhaus' fits.
