A way of practicing a sport, art form, or music in which there are no fixed rules for how it is performed, and improvisation and individual style are the main focus.

Freistil and Freestyle both refer to a free-form performance without fixed rules. Freistil can generally mean a form without a prescribed structure, while Freestyle places more emphasis on improvisation and personal style. Both words are possible; Freestyle is especially appropriate when spontaneous creativity is the focus.
