Adjectives that indicate origin are often formed with the suffix '-isch'. 'Libanesisch' (Lebanese) is derived directly from the country name 'der Libanon' (Lebanon).

Lowercase spelling
Adjectives that are derived from geographic names and end in '-isch' are written in lowercase in German. Be careful not to confuse it with the capitalized name of the country.

However, 'arabisch' is much more general: it can refer to the Arab world or to the Arabic language. 'libanesisch' more specifically means Lebanon, its people, or its culture. Learners may confuse the words because Lebanon is part of the Arab world. If you are talking about the language or the larger region, 'arabisch' fits better. If it is specifically about Lebanon, 'libanesisch' is more precise.
