Lore vs Waggon

railcar

'die Lore' and 'der Waggon' are both vehicles on rails and can transport things. The difference is mainly in their size and where they are used. A 'Lore' is small, open, and is used more in a mine, quarry, or on a construction site for materials. A 'Waggon' belongs to a railway train and can transport people or goods. The words can be confused because both look like small cars on rails. In normal rail traffic, however, you say 'Waggon'; for coal, ore, or rubble, 'Lore' is more likely.
