Molekül vs Atom

atom

An Atom is the smallest chemically indivisible building block of an element. A Molekül, by contrast, consists of at least two chemically bonded atoms. When a single building block of an element is meant, Atom is the right word; for a bonded unit made up of several atoms, Molekül is the right word.
