A nature park usually protects a landscape that has also been shaped by people, for example with villages, fields, or hiking trails. Recreation and sustainable tourism play a bigger role there. Learners may confuse the words because both sound connected to nature and protection. As a guide: 'Nationalpark' sounds more like strictly protected wilderness, while 'Naturpark' sounds more like a protected cultural landscape and leisure.
