A male member of the Palestinian people or a male person who comes from the geographical region of Palestine.

The singular and plural forms are identical: 'der Palästinenser' (one person) and 'die Palästinenser' (several people). You can recognize the difference from the article or the verb.

Although many nationalities ending in '-e' are declined with N-declension, 'der Palästinenser' (the Palestinian) follows the normal masculine declension. In the accusative, it is therefore 'den Palästinenser' and not 'den Palästinensern'.

Arab / Arabian
'Araber' and 'Palästinenser' can both describe people from the Arabic-speaking world. But the difference is important: 'Araber' is a broad term for people from Arab countries, with Arab descent, or with Arabic as their native language. 'Palästinenser' is more specific and means a person who belongs to the Palestinian people or comes from Palestine. The words can be confused because many Palestinians are also Arabs. But not every Arab is Palestinian. If the exact origin or ethnic affiliation is important, 'Palästinenser' is a better fit.
