'entfernen' and 'rausziehen' can both describe taking something away from a place. However, 'entfernen' is more general and does not say exactly how something is taken away. 'rausziehen' is more specific: something is stuck in something else or is fixed in place, and you pull it out, often with some force. In everyday language, people say things like 'einen Stecker rausziehen' (to pull out a plug) or 'einen Splitter rausziehen' (to pull out a splinter). If the pulling motion is important, 'rausziehen' fits. If only the act of taking something away matters, 'entfernen' is more precise or more neutral.
