his
Possessive pronoun or possessive determiner in the third-person singular: It shows that something belongs to or is associated with a male or neuter person or being.
Ich habe sein Fahrrad repariert.
I repaired his bicycle.
'Sein' (his) refers to a person or thing that can be referred to with 'er' (he) or 'es' (it). What matters is the grammatical gender of the noun it refers to: This is why 'sein' (his) also goes with 'das Mädchen' (the girl) or 'das Kind' (the child).
Das Mädchen hat seine Tasche im Bus vergessen.
The girl forgot her bag on the bus.
As a determiner, 'sein' (his) takes the place of the article, so no additional article comes before it. Adjectives can come between 'sein' (his) and the noun.
Murat hat sein neues Fahrrad vor dem Haus abgestellt.
Murat parked his new bicycle in front of the house.
'Sein' (his) can also stand alone when it is clear from the context which object is meant. It then takes an appropriate ending and replaces the entire noun phrase.
Paul sucht seinen Rucksack, aber der hier ist nicht seiner.
Paul is looking for his backpack, but this one isn't his.
