A Streik and a Boykott are organized forms of protest used to exert pressure. In a Streik, employees collectively stop working. In a Boykott, by contrast, people refuse to buy, use, or take part in something. When the issue concerns work, Streik is usually the right word; otherwise, Boykott is often the better choice.
