'Interview' and 'Vorstellungsgespräch' can mean the same thing in the context of a job application. In that case, it is a conversation between an applicant and a company. The company wants to check whether the person is a good fit for the position. 'Vorstellungsgespräch' is the clear and very natural word for this. 'Interview' is also used in this sense, but outside this context it can also mean a media interview. If it is clearly about a job application, both words are possible.
