Christmas celebration
A Weihnachtsfeier is an organized event held during the run-up to Christmas, for example at a company or school. Weihnachtsfest, on the other hand, refers to Christmas itself, including the celebrations on December 24, 25, and 26. Weihnachtsfeier is therefore the appropriate term for a company event.
