A logical or factual connection or relationship between different things, people, or events.
Die Polizei untersucht den Zusammenhang zwischen den beiden Verbrechen.
The police are investigating the connection between the two crimes.
'Zusammenhang' (connection / context) consists of 'zusammen' (together) and 'hangen' (an old form of hängen, to hang). So it literally describes things that are connected with each other or 'zusammen hängen' (hang together).
Alle diese Ereignisse hängen zusammen.
All these events are connected.
To express a connection between two or more things, the preposition 'zwischen' (between) is almost always used. The pattern is: 'der Zusammenhang zwischen A und B' (the connection between A and B).
Gibt es einen Zusammenhang zwischen seiner Krankheit und dem Stress bei der Arbeit?
Is there a connection between his illness and the stress at work?
Common verbs are 'einen Zusammenhang herstellen' (to establish a connection), 'einen Zusammenhang sehen' (to see a connection), or 'einen Zusammenhang erkennen' (to recognize a connection). Another very common phrase is 'in diesem Zusammenhang' (in this context / connection).
In diesem Zusammenhang möchte ich noch eine Frage stellen.
In this context, I would like to ask one more question.
The meaning 'Kontext' (context) occurs almost exclusively in the fixed expression 'etwas aus dem Zusammenhang reißen' (to take something out of context). It means that a statement is reproduced without the necessary context and is therefore misleading.
Das Zitat wurde in der Zeitung komplett aus dem Zusammenhang gerissen.
The quote was taken completely out of context in the newspaper.

'der Rahmen' and 'der Zusammenhang' can both have to do with the surroundings in which something exists or happens. 'Rahmen' more often means the external conditions, scope, or fixed area of an action, for example in an event or a project. 'Zusammenhang' more often means the content-based or logical connection between things, or the information you need in order to understand something. They can be confused because both sometimes have to do with 'Kontext' (context). When it is about limits, conditions, or an organized area, 'Rahmen' fits. When it is about meaning, explanation, or connection, 'Zusammenhang' fits.
Ohne den Zusammenhang klingt dieser Satz viel härter, als er gemeint war.
