'die Kraft' and 'der Akku' can both have to do with energy. 'Kraft' is the normal word for physical or inner strength. If someone says their Akku is empty, they mean: they are tired and have no strength left. 'Kraft' fits in many situations; 'Akku' sounds figurative and rather casual.
