'die Apotheke' and 'die Drogerie' are both stores where you can buy health and personal care products. The most important difference is: in an Apotheke (pharmacy), you can get medications, including prescription medications, and advice from pharmaceutical professionals. In a Drogerie (drugstore), you mainly buy shampoo, cream, cosmetics, laundry detergent, cleaning products, and often also simple over-the-counter products. Learners easily confuse the words because both have to do with health. For a doctor's prescription, you go to the Apotheke; for personal care products, you usually go to the Drogerie.
