'Beleidigt' (offended) is the past participle of the verb 'beleidigen' (to offend) and is very often used as an adjective. It therefore frequently occurs with verbs such as 'sein' (to be), 'wirken' (to seem), or 'reagieren' (to react).
Nach seiner Bemerkung war sie den ganzen Abend beleidigt.
After his remark, she was offended for the rest of the evening.
A common personal construction is 'sich beleidigt fühlen' (to feel offended). The affected person is the subject, and 'sich' refers to that same person.
Er fühlte sich beleidigt, weil niemand nach seiner Meinung gefragt hatte.
He felt offended because nobody had asked for his opinion.
When the reason is mentioned, 'beleidigt sein' (to be offended) is often followed by 'über' (about/by) with the accusative. The reason can also be explained by a subordinate clause with 'weil' (because).
Die Schülerin war über den spöttischen Kommentar beleidigt.
The student was offended by the sarcastic comment.
