'das Bridge' and 'der Skat' are both card games, so they can easily be confused. But they are not the same game. Bridge is usually played by four people, with two people forming a pair against the other pair. Skat is usually played by three people; it is especially well known in Germany. If you are talking about the number of players, that helps you tell them apart: four people and two pairs fit bridge, while three people fit Skat.
