'das Ende' and 'das Finale' can both mean the last part of something. 'das Ende' is more general and fits films, books, conversations, or events. 'das Finale' is used more when the last part is especially important, exciting, or ceremonial, for example in sports or in a performance. Learners may confuse the words because both point to the conclusion. As a practical rule: every film has an 'Ende' (end), but not every 'Ende' is a 'Finale' (finale / final).
