A type of landscape characterized by small differences in elevation and the absence of mountains or larger hills. It is a flat or only slightly rolling region.

An Ebene is more typically a specific, flat area of land, whereas Flachland describes the landscape type of an entire region more generally. Use „Ebene“ for the individual area and „Flachland“ for the broader type of landscape.
