'einstellen' and 'fokussieren' can both refer to a kind of alignment or adjustment. With devices, they can even be quite close: you can adjust a camera, and you can focus it so that the picture becomes sharp. However, 'einstellen' is more general and means regulating a device or also preparing for a situation, for example 'sich auf eine Änderung einstellen' (to prepare for a change). 'fokussieren' more specifically means directing attention, or in the case of a camera, sharpness, toward something. 'sich einstellen auf' and 'sich fokussieren auf' are especially easy to confuse.
