'Gelangweilt' (bored) is the past participle of the verb '(sich) langweilen' (to be bored). It is used like an adjective and always describes the feeling of a person who is experiencing boredom.
Das gelangweilte Kind saß auf der Treppe und wartete.
The bored child sat on the stairs and waited.
If you want to say what is causing the boredom, you use the preposition 'von' followed by the dative. The structure is: 'gelangweilt sein von etwas/jemandem' (to be bored by something/someone).
Ich bin von dem langen Warten total gelangweilt.
I am totally bored by the long wait.
The word is often combined with verbs of perception to describe a disinterested action, e.g. 'gelangweilt schauen' (to look bored), 'gelangweilt gähnen' (to yawn in boredom), or 'gelangweilt zuhören' (to listen in a bored way). A very strong form is 'zu Tode gelangweilt' (bored to death).
Er schaute gelangweilt aus dem Fenster, während der Lehrer sprach.
He looked out the window, bored, while the teacher was speaking.
attentive / considerate
'aufmerksam' and 'gelangweilt' are opposites here. Someone who is 'aufmerksam' (attentive) is interested in the situation and listens or watches carefully. Someone who is 'gelangweilt' (bored) has no interest and often seems uninvolved. In a lecture, one person may attentively ask questions, while another sits there bored and just waits for it to end.

Luis schaut nach der Arbeit gelangweilt auf den Fernseher.
After work, Luis looks bored at the television.
Beim Gespräch mit dem Kunden bleibt du aufmerksam und machst dir Notizen.
When talking with the customer, you stay attentive and take notes.
