The fundamental force of nature that causes two or more bodies with mass to attract each other. It is responsible for objects falling to the ground and for planets orbiting the sun.

Schwerkraft and Gravitation can both explain why an object falls to Earth. Schwerkraft is the more common term and usually refers to its effect near a celestial body. Gravitation sounds more technical and emphasizes the general attraction between bodies with mass.
