The adjective 'indonesisch' (Indonesian) is derived from the country name 'Indonesien' (Indonesia) with the ending '-isch'. This is the most common pattern for forming adjectives from country or region names (e.g. italienisch, spanisch, japanisch).
Wir haben einen japanischen Ahorn im Garten.
We have a Japanese maple in the garden.
As an adjective, 'indonesisch' is written in lowercase. When it is used as a noun to refer to the language, it is capitalized. The question is then: 'Sprichst du Indonesisch?' (Do you speak Indonesian?)
Der indonesische Präsident besucht Deutschland.
The Indonesian president is visiting Germany.
The adjective is often used to describe things that are typical of the country, e.g. 'die indonesische Kultur' (Indonesian culture), 'indonesische Inseln' (Indonesian islands), 'die indonesische Regierung' (the Indonesian government), or 'indonesisches Essen' (Indonesian food).

Indian
'indisch' and 'indonesisch' sound similar, but they refer to different countries and cultures. 'indisch' fits India, for example Indian food, Indian music, or people from India. 'indonesisch' fits Indonesia, meaning the language, culture, or population of Indonesia. The words can be confused because both have to do with countries in Asia and begin similarly. The important point is: India and Indonesia are not the same country. For India, you say 'indisch'; for Indonesia, you say 'indonesisch'.
