In both meanings, 'Jump' is very often combined with the verb 'machen' (to make/do). You can say 'einen Jump machen' (to do/make a jump) in sports, or a stock can 'einen Jump machen' (make a jump) in business.

The skateboarder did a risky jump over the stairs.
In the meaning 'Sprung' (jump), 'Jump' is used mainly in youth language and in the jargon of sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding, or parkour.

Sprung and Jump can refer to the same movement in sports. Sprung is the standard German term, whereas Jump is an anglicism used especially in the jargon of certain sports. Outside such a context, Sprung is usually the better choice.
