Learners may confuse the words because every 'Konzern' is an 'Unternehmen', but not every 'Unternehmen' is a 'Konzern'. For a normal company, it is better to say 'Unternehmen' or 'Firma'. 'Konzern' only fits when it is really about a large corporate group.
