Am Wochenende gehen wir in die Kunsthalle, um die neue Fotoausstellung zu sehen.
At the weekend, we are going to the art gallery to see the new photography exhibition.

Kunsthalle vs Museum
museum
'das Museum' and 'die Kunsthalle' are both places where you can visit exhibitions. A museum often collects, preserves, and displays its own objects, such as historical items, art, or scientific pieces. A Kunsthalle mainly shows art and usually does not have its own permanent collection, but rather changing exhibitions. The words can be confused because you can see art in both buildings. If you are talking generally about collections or history, 'Museum' fits better. If you are talking about current art exhibitions, 'Kunsthalle' is often more precise.
Kunsthalle
In der Kunsthalle gibt es gerade eine Ausstellung mit modernen Fotografien.
There is currently an exhibition of modern photography at the Kunsthalle.
Museum
Am Sonntag besucht Nina mit ihrer Familie das Museum für Naturkunde.
On Sunday, Nina visits the natural history museum with her family.
