Christian
'Christ' (Christian) and 'Protestant' are closely related, but they do not mean exactly the same thing. A Christ is generally a member of the Christian religion. A Protestant is a Christian from an evangelical tradition that grew out of the Reformation. So 'Christ' is the broader term, while 'Protestant' is more specific. Learners may confuse the words because Protestants are always Christians. But not all Christians are Protestants; some are Catholics, for example. If the denomination matters, use 'Protestant'. If you are only talking about the religion, 'Christ' is enough.
