Turbine vs Motor

engine / motor

Both words describe a machine that can generate rotational motion for a device. A Motor converts various forms of energy into motion; a Turbine uses the energy of a flowing medium such as water, steam, or gas. Use “Turbine” when a flow is involved and otherwise use “Motor” when appropriate.
