Unwissen vs Ignoranz

ignorance

Ignoranz and Unwissen can both refer to a lack of knowledge. Unwissen simply says that someone does not know something. Ignoranz can also mean this lack, but it can additionally accuse someone of deliberately disregarding known facts.
