A trailer for a car that is equipped with beds, a small kitchen, and often also a toilet, and serves as mobile accommodation for travel or camping.

Both a “Wohnwagen” and a “Wohnmobil” provide accommodation for travel and camping. However, a “Wohnwagen” is a trailer and must be towed by a car. A “Wohnmobil” has its own engine and is driven by itself.
Für den Campingurlaub hängt die Familie den Wohnwagen an ihr Auto.
For their camping holiday, the family hitches the trailer to their car.
