When referring to a lens or camera function, “Zoom” is usually neuter in German: “das Zoom”; “der Zoom” is also commonly used. The plural is “die Zooms” (zooms).

The more precise term “Zoomobjektiv” (zoom lens) is also used for a lens with an adjustable focal length.
