'die Zustimmung' and 'die Akzeptanz' both have to do with not rejecting something. 'die Zustimmung' is usually a clear expression: you say yes, give permission, or agree with a proposal. 'die Akzeptanz' describes more of an attitude or a general acceptance of something, for example a rule, a person, or a situation. Learners may confuse the words because both sound positive. But Zustimmung is often a concrete yes, while Akzeptanz is more an inner or social acceptance.
