'Aussichtsplattform' more specifically means a built or clearly constructed platform, often on a tower, building, or rock. The words can be confused because you have a beautiful view from both. If you simply mean the place, 'Aussichtspunkt' fits. If you mean the structure or platform, 'Aussichtsplattform' is more precise.
