This form is very often used in official requests or announcements, for example at the airport, on the train, or during inspections.

to store / keep
'aufbewahren' and 'bereithalten' can both mean that something is not given away and can be used later. The difference lies in the purpose. 'aufbewahren' emphasizes that something stays safely or neatly in one place. 'bereithalten' emphasizes that something is immediately available because you need it right away or when required. You can confuse the words when something is lying somewhere for later. If it is only being stored, you are more likely to say 'aufbewahren'. If it should be within easy reach, 'bereithalten' fits better.
Für den Termin hält die Praxis alle Unterlagen am Empfang bereit.
For the appointment, the practice keeps all the documents ready at reception.
