Hauptschule
'Hauptschule' and 'Berufsschule' both belong to the topic of school and work, but they are at different points in the educational path. You attend the Hauptschule after primary school as a general school. It often prepares students for later vocational training. You attend the Berufsschule (vocational school) only during vocational training, together with work at a company. Learners may confuse the words because both have to do with preparation for a job. In practice: Hauptschule before vocational training, Berufsschule during vocational training.
