'die Bibliothek' in this meaning is more specific and sounds more like the name or program of a publisher, for example for classic texts or a particular topic. The words can be confused because a publisher's 'Bibliothek' is often practically a book series. In everyday language, however, 'die Bibliothek' usually means the place where you borrow books. If you are speaking generally about several related books, 'die Reihe' is usually clearer.
