'koreanisch' and 'nordkoreanisch' can both express a connection to Korea. 'koreanisch' is the general term for Korea, the culture, people, or the language. As 'Koreanisch', it refers to the language. 'nordkoreanisch' is narrower and means only North Korea, its inhabitants, culture, or politics. The words can be confused because they look similar and both are connected to Korea. When it is generally about language or culture, 'koreanisch' is often suitable. When North Korea is meant explicitly, you should say 'nordkoreanisch'.
