A U-shaped or half-tube-shaped structure used in skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX riding, or similar sports for jumps and tricks. Most often, the term 'Halfpipe' (halfpipe) is used.

'Pipeline' and 'Pipe' look similar and both come from English, but they are used differently in German. A 'Pipeline' is usually a long pipeline for oil or gas. In a figurative sense, it can also mean a process in which projects or products are being prepared. A 'Pipe' in computer science is a mechanism in which one program passes its output directly to another program. The words can be confused because of their similar form and the idea of forwarding something. For pipes or project processes, use 'Pipeline'. In technical discussions about programs, 'Pipe' is the better fit.
