'Kontrolle' and 'Qualitätskontrolle' both have to do with checking. 'Kontrolle' is the general word: you can check almost anything, for example a bill, a door, or a task. 'Qualitätskontrolle' is more specific and means a systematic check of whether products or services meet certain standards. It often occurs in production, in laboratories, or in companies. If it is just about a normal check, 'Kontrolle' is enough. If quality is being checked according to fixed requirements, 'Qualitätskontrolle' is more precise.
