Rechtsprechung vs Justiz

judiciary

Justiz refers to state institutions such as courts and public prosecutors' offices. Rechtsprechung, by contrast, refers primarily to their activity and the judicial decisions that result from it. When talking about the institutions involved, Justiz is the appropriate word; when talking about judgments or judicial decision-making, Rechtsprechung is the better choice.
