'Kleinanzeige' and 'Sexanzeige' are both types of ads that can appear in newspapers or on the internet. A 'Kleinanzeige' is a general term for short ads, for example when someone sells a bicycle, looks for an apartment, or offers help. A 'Sexanzeige' is much more specific and refers to sexual contacts or sexual services. The words can be confused because, formally, a sex ad can also be a short ad. In normal everyday language, however, 'Kleinanzeige' is neutral and much broader. 'Sexanzeige' is used only when exactly this sexual content is meant.
