'Der Sieg' (victory) is the noun related to the verb 'siegen' (to win). A person who wins is called 'der Sieger' (the male winner) or 'die Siegerin' (the female winner).

'Erfolg' is more general: you can also have success in an exam, in a project, or with a plan without winning against someone. The words can be confused because a 'Sieg' is often an 'Erfolg'.
