A short, often mysterious preview of a film, article, show, or product that is meant to arouse curiosity. It does not reveal everything, but only touches on the topic in order to generate interest.

Trailer and Teaser draw attention to an upcoming film. A Trailer serves as a preview and usually shows more of the work, while a Teaser deliberately reveals very little and mainly arouses curiosity. A Teaser is therefore a better fit for a mysterious preview.
