'die Truppe' and 'die Theatergruppe' can both mean a group of people who work together on stage. 'die Theatergruppe' is more specific: it performs plays and rehearses for them. 'die Truppe' is more general and can also be used for other groups of performers, for example in the circus or in dance. In everyday language, 'Truppe' often sounds a bit more casual. If it is clearly about theater, 'Theatergruppe' is usually more precise.
