You often jump up and down on it repeatedly, for example in the garden, in a gym, or in sports. A 'Sprungbrett' is a flexible board that you jump off, such as at a swimming pool or in gymnastics. It is more intended for a single jump. Learners may confuse the words because both provide jumping power. But the difference is clear: on a trampoline, you jump repeatedly on a surface; from a springboard, you jump off. In addition, 'Sprungbrett' can also figuratively mean an opportunity for a career, while 'Trampolin' normally cannot.
