We're waiting for our friends at the subway station.
Nach der Arbeit gehe ich direkt zum U-Bahnhof.

Common phrases include 'am U-Bahnhof warten' (to wait at the subway station), 'zum U-Bahnhof gehen' (to go to the subway station), and 'am U-Bahnhof aussteigen' (to get off at the subway station). These expressions describe typical routes and meeting points on public transportation.
